We reach Eluru late late at night, or early early in the
morning, however you want to look at it. Today it’s a little more relaxed day
compared to the hectic running around from one event to the other. We got to
visit the Dwaraka Tirumala Temple about an hours drive away. The architecture
was so beautiful! It reminded a little bit of Mysore Palace with the shape of
the tower but the carvings are entirely different. We enjoyed walking around it
and just taking it in in all its glory.
Inside we met a priest who saw all of us and spoke to us
about the yatra and was happy that we undertook such a campaign for peace and
harmony and to inspire the youth to take the initiative to make change, plus
even more so that we also focused on national integration. He chose a few
Sanskrit verses of blessing and said a prayer for the success of the campaign.
I know most of us didn’t understand what all Swami Ji said, but the vibrations
around raised when he spoke and a very happy light feeling came about.
But the sculpting and the carvings! We could have stayed
and taken photos all day..
In the evening we visited the Nirmalgiri Shrine, which
was a beautifully decorated chapel where we stopped for a short prayer service
and then took off for Berhampur. On the way, there was this guy on the back of
a motorcycle holding up a rather large white board of some sort. Alan said It
made him look spiderman of some kind. Hehe..
The travel to Berhampur would be the 3rd or 4th
overnight travel for us.. Just hope the road’s not to bumpy..
